- Show and Tell –
Our Grade 3 learners Aadya Srivastav, Atharv Thumala, and Arya Kalapala participated enthusiastically in the Round Square Show and Tell event on the topic “A Play in Which We Took Part.” The learners beautifully reflected on their experience of being part of the play “The Enchanted Stories,” which was presented during the Unit of Inquiry culmination under the theme How We Express Ourselves.
Dressed as their respective characters from the play, the learners confidently shared their roles and spoke about the storyline, their experiences on stage, and what they learned through the process. Their presentations highlighted creativity, collaboration, and the joy of storytelling. They explained how the play brought together different literary characters and how performing helped them express ideas, emotions, and imagination.
It was wonderful to see the learners speak with confidence and enthusiasm while reflecting on their learning journey. Their participation truly captured the spirit of the unit by demonstrating how drama and storytelling can be powerful ways to express thoughts and ideas. The event was engaging and enjoyable, and the learners represented their class with pride and excitement.
- Round Square Spanish Labs: This was the first time that the students of The Hyderabad Public School have participated in Round Square Spanish Labs. This month the students of HPS attended 3 Spanish Labs scheduled on 12th Mar, 19th Mar and 26th Mar. The topics were Daily Life & Routines, Weather & Climate and Stories, Fairy Tales and Cultural Traditions.
Children felt that these language labs are very helpful specially for a foreign language since it gives them an opportunity to put their actually put the language into use instead of just learning it in classrooms. The hosts from Columbia were very encouraging and helped the children learn new words and guided them.
A total of 7 students from IGCSE participated in these Spanish Labs.
