TAISI Conference 2026: Preparing Young People for Adulthood
The 22nd edition of the TAISI Annual Conference, held from 17–19 September 2026 at Novotel Dona Sylvia, Goa, brought together school leaders, educators, education organisations and thought leaders around a compelling question: How do we prepare young people not merely for academic success, but for adulthood? The conference theme, “The Adulthood Deficit: Inside Out · Outside In,” examined the gap between what schools traditionally prepare students for and the wider demands of adult life—decision-making, resilience, relationships, responsibility, purpose and the ability to navigate uncertainty.
The conference was attended by Nasreen Khan, Academic Coordinator – CIE, and Vardhini Viveka, Science Subject Lead, providing an opportunity to engage with contemporary educational thinking, exchange ideas with educators from across the sector and reflect on practices that can enrich teaching and learning in our school.
The conference featured a diverse range of speakers, including Dr. Nicole Bien of the International Baccalaureate, Lord Jim Knight of COBIS, Author Devdutt Pattanaik, Jessica Lahey, Kam Chouhan of ECIS, Dr Sudha Govindswamy of CIS, Darlene Fisher of NEASC, Victoria Pugh of COBIS, Lina Ashar of Dreamtime Learning, Prof. Bulbul Chaudhary, Data Journalist Rukmini S., Vinay Sharma – Senior Vice President & Regional Director, South Asia, Cambridge International Education, Nikhil Taneja – writer, producer, entrepreneur, storyteller, podcaster and youth advocate, Gautam Vazirani, Yogi Patidar and Roxanne Chinoy, among others. Their varied perspectives brought together ideas around education, leadership, student development, wellbeing, technology and the changing world young people are preparing to enter.
