IAYP Pre-Adventurous Journey Training

The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, successfully conducted a two-day IAYP Pre-Adventurous Journey (Pre-AJ) Training Programme on 28th and 29th August 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the participation of 14 students of the International Award for Young People (IAYP). 

The training was conducted by Mr. Bivujit Mukhoty, Senior Programme Manager, along with Mr. Abrajit Mukhoty and Mr. Ashim Nath. The programme aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills required for a safe, responsible and successful Adventurous Journey. 

The training covered navigation & route planning, tent pitching, first aid, equipment care & packing, fitness and physical preparation, team building & leadership, environmental awareness and risk assessment & safety. Students also gained an understanding of the purpose of the Adventurous Journey, along with practical sessions on outdoor cooking and nutrition, report writing and presentation. 

Through hands-on activities and experiential learning, the programme fostered self-reliance, teamwork, leadership, resilience and responsible engagement with the environment, preparing students to undertake their forthcoming Adventurous Journey confidently. 

The closing ceremony was graced by Mrs. Amritha Chandra Raju, Vice Principal and Mrs. Dr. Neeta Bist, Head–Senior School, HPS Begumpet, along with the School Coordinators. As a gesture of appreciation, the trainers, Mr. Bivujit Mukhoty, Mr. Abrajit Mukhoty and Mr. Ashim Nath, were honoured with mementos for their valuable contribution and guidance in making the training programme a meaningful and enriching experience for the students.
