IPSC MUN 2026
HPS Begumpet Makes Its Mark at IPSC MUN 2026
The spirit of diplomacy, thoughtful debate, and young leadership came alive at the IPSC Model United Nations Conference 2026, hosted by Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital, from 7th to 9th September 2026. Representing The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, seven students joined delegates from 15 other schools from across the country for three days of discussion, negotiation, and engagement with contemporary global issues.
The HPS delegation entered the conference well prepared and confident, engaging actively in committee proceedings and bringing research, persuasive communication, and collaborative thinking to the discussions. The conference offered students an opportunity to look at global issues from different perspectives while developing the ability to listen, negotiate, build consensus, and present their views with conviction.
The delegation returned with two notable distinctions.
Sattwiki Das of Grade 9C was awarded High Commendation in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for her confident and effective participation in one of the conference’s most demanding committees.
Sauryaram Varma of Grade 9C was named Most Promising Delegate in the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), recognising his active engagement and promising performance throughout the proceedings.
For the students, the conference was more than a competition. It was an opportunity to step into the world of international diplomacy, examine complex global challenges, and experience first-hand the importance of dialogue, negotiation, and consensus-building.
The achievements of Sattwiki and Sauryaram, along with the spirited participation of the entire delegation, mark another encouraging milestone in the MUN journey of HPS Begumpet. Experiences such as these encourage students to think beyond boundaries, engage thoughtfully with the world around them, and find their voice on a wider stage.
The school congratulates all seven delegates on their enthusiastic participation and applauds Sattwiki Das and Sauryaram Varma for their well-deserved recognition.
