Report
The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet
On March 12, 2026, The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, hosted an insightful orientation for parents of the Cambridge Grade 9–12 cohort at the Innovation Centre. The event served as a roadmap for the upcoming academic year, emphasizing a balanced approach to student development.
Leadership Insights and Academic Rigor
The session commenced with Vice Principal Ms. Amritha Chandra Raju, who underscored the necessity of blending disciplined academics with dynamic co-curricular activities. Following this, Cambridge Coordinator Ms. Urvashi Sudheer Makhija and Academic Coordinator Ms. Nasreen Fazal Khan provided technical insights into the curriculum, examination structures, and the collaborative methodology employed by facilitators to utilize campus facilities effectively.
Ms. Sonali Roy Chowdhury Singh, Head of International Curriculum, highlighted recent curricular shifts. She specifically noted the importance of practicing past papers to build familiarity, despite the unpredictable nature of Cambridge assessments. She emphasized how deeply the school culture is rooted in strict adherence to deadlines and diligent policy management. Reiterating the importance of institutional discipline, she urged students to value these standards and set a high example for their juniors. Complementing the academic discourse, Mr. Rajesh Makwana, Head of Admin and Facilities, showcased the school’s premium infrastructure, including the dining hall, Olympic-standard swimming pool, and specialized shooting range.
A Vision for Holistic Growth
Closing the event, Principal Dr. Skand Bali synthesized the speakers’ points into a cohesive vision for student well-being. He introduced the “Three Cs”—Consistency, Communication, and Collaboration—as the essential pillars for success. Through motivational anecdotes, he urged parents to grant their wards the freedom to choose their own career paths.
Dr. Bali also shared the school’s ambitious expansion plans, including:
- New Primary School campus buildings.
- A state-of-the-art indoor sports complex.
- A grand auditorium, scheduled for completion by 2028.
He concluded with a poignant Rumi quote, likening the student to a plant, the parents to the soil, and the teachers to water. This metaphor beautifully illustrated the shared responsibility required to ensure each student’s foundation remains unshakable.
