The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, hosted a vibrant and memorable Freshers’ Day celebration for the incoming Batch of 2026–27, organised by the students of Grade XII. The event themed “Soar High,” was inspired by the school motto, “Be Vigilant,” encouraging students to aim high while remaining grounded in values and responsibility.

The programme commenced with the anchors extending a warm welcome to the freshers, setting an energetic tone for the day. An engaging round of “Never Have I Ever” followed, providing a fun glimpse into the personalities and honesty of the participants. The school band captivated the audience with their lively performances, filling the venue with music, enthusiasm, and cheer.

One of the most eagerly awaited segments of the event was the crowning of the freshers. The shortlisted contestants for the titles of Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher, Mr. HPS, and Ms. HPS participated in a confident ramp walk and responded to a series of thought-provoking questions. Their answers reflected maturity, confidence, critical thinking and socio-emotional awareness, making the selection process both exciting and inspiring.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the seniors entertained the audience with energetic dance performances featuring a blend of contemporary hits and timeless favourites. Their spirited performances brought the celebration to a fitting and memorable close.

The event concluded with a closing address by Mr. K. Ravi, Middle School Co-ordinator, followed by a vote of thanks. A sumptuous lunch was served, giving students an opportunity to interact and celebrate together. The freshers departed with smiles on their faces, carrying fond memories of a warm and heartfelt welcome from their seniors.

Freshers’ Day 2026 truly embodied the spirit of HPS, inspiring the new batch to spread their wings and soar high towards a future filled with promise and achievement.
