Report of Local Excursion of Class 11

On the 8th of January 2026, our school took us to the Indian School of Business for an educational excursion. This particular trip was extremely enlightening and interesting as we got the opportunity to tour the 260 acre campus and see the classes in action. We were greeted by two members of the faculty who gave us information about the formation of ISB.

Our first glimpse of the campus was the magnificent library which harboured books on every subject and genre. Architecturally, the library was beautifully made, with spiral staircases leading us throughout the 4 – storey structure. Following that, we saw the indoor sports courts, gym and the swimming pool.

Soon after, we were led to the auditorium where we were greeted by a member of the Department of External Relations and he briefed us about what ISB stands for and its vision to become an ‘internationally top-ranked and research-driven institution’. He also shared that ISB primarily trains students to excel globally. This was followed by an eye-opening session by our very own HPS Begumpet Alum, Himanshu Tambaker.

Mr. Tambaker shared with us, his views on how AI can excel in everything except one – critical thinking. He addresses the multiple facets of critical thinking that we should develop in ourselves to truly excel in the world driven by technology. It was an extremely inspirational session – one that we will carry with us throughout our life.

After this session, we were served snacks and then off we went to the Motilal Oswal Executive Centre, a one of a kind institution where students are trained to executives in tier 1 companies across the globe. We explored the smart classrooms and the guest house building.

This concluded our campus tour and we proceeded to the recreation centre for lunch, which brought an end to our excursion.

This educational trip was unparalleled. A close glimpse at one the top business schools in the world was unforgettable. The lessons we learnt, the place we explored and the inspiration we drew will never be forgotten by any of us. The Indian School of Business is and will always be one of a kind.
