The Department of Progressive Learning recently organized a Staff Gala that brought together educators from across the School for a day of fun, laughter, and reminiscence. The event was designed to take staff members back to their childhood days, and it certainly delivered on that promise. A fun- filled Cricket match between the staff members was a showcase of competitive spirit, fun, enthusiasm and infectious energy.

The gala featured a range of activities that catered to different interests. Staff members participated in games that sparked memories of their school days, from classic games like balloon shooting, Hoopla and Tumbling Pyramid to outdoor activities that got everyone moving and grooving. A Taro counter was a fun and light way of knowing what was in store for the teachers. A colourful Photo booth helped all of us capture some beautiful memories. A huge art corner run by our very own art teachers gave an opportunity for all of us to explore our creative side and artistic skills. The atmosphere was electric, with laughter and chatter filling the air as colleagues participated and collaborated together.

One of the highlights of the event was the mehendi application station, where staff members got to adorn their hands with intricate designs and patterns. It was a great opportunity for them to relax and socialize, and the results were stunning!

The gala also featured a Zumba session, where staff members let loose and showed off their best moves. The event ended with some surprise gifts earned by the teachers who wore the longest earrings, had the lowest battery in their phones etc. A round of Tambola was the perfect end to the gala. The energy was infectious, and everyone had a blast. To top it all, there was a delicious spread of food that catered to all tastes which was run by our very own teachers who treated us to some wonderful culinary treats.

Overall, the Staff Gala was a resounding success, providing a much-needed break from the daily grind and an opportunity for staff members to bond and recharge. It was a day that will be remembered for a long time to come, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
