In every life, there come moments that remain etched in your mind forever and this ceremony was definitely one of them. On the 17th of December, our beloved school was presented with a token of appreciation by the Indian Air Force, being represented by our very own alumnus Air Marshall Tejinder Singh, AVSM, VM, AoC in C Training Command – The Jaguar Aircraft. This aircraft is the perfect embodiment of raw speed, sheer precision and lethal accuracy, having served in the Indian Air Force for over 30 years, and flying missions such as the Balakot Airstrike and Operation Pawan.

The ceremony began with arrival of our Chief Guest, Air Marshall Tejinder Singh, His Gracious Lady, Mrs. Nancy Singh (President – AFFWA) and Air Commodore V. S. Saini (VM, AoC AFStn Hakimpet). They were graciously escorted by our Principal Sir, Registrar Sir and the members of the Executive Team. As a symbol of prosperity and peace, the Chief Guest was presented with the ceremonial saplings by our Principal, Dr. Skand Bali. We moved along with our school song, beautifully presented by our school choir. It was then finally time for one of the most historic moments in our school’s legacy – the handing over of the Jaguar Aircraft. Our Chief Guest, Air Marshall Tejinder Singh, presented the Principal, Dr. Skand Bali, with a 3D model of the aircraft, with the actual life-size Jaguar Aircraft being unveiled right behind. It was truly a momentous sight!

Following the presentation, the Air Marshall courteously presented Principal Sir with a small memento, showing his love and appreciation for our school. Principal Sir, then, presented our distinguished Chief Guest with an edition of our school magazine, the Shaheen. The proceedings were then handed over to Flying Officer Kunal Negi, presenting awards of appreciation to the Group Captain and Officers who had worked tirelessly to bring this majestic SHAMSHER of the skies onto our school’s heritage ground.

This was followed by the Chief Guest’s Address. Being a pilot of the Jaguar, the Chief Guest provided valuable insights on the amount of effort and hard-work it took to make the dream of having a Jaguar Aircraft on display come to life. Subsequently, our Vice Principal Ma’am delivered a Vote of Thanks which encapsulated our entire school’s gratitude and pride towards this unforgettable gift given by the Indian Air Force.

It was truly an event for the ages! The eagle of the skies, which is the Jaguar Aircraft, now found a home on our very own Eagle Court right in front of the proud eaglets of HPS Begumpet for all to view and admire.
