Harvard Model United Nations India 2025
From the 14th to the 17th of August, 18 of our students had the privilege of participating in the Harvard Model United Nations India 2025, hosted at the Hilton Embassy in Bangalore by students of Harvard and the faculty team. This university-level conference elevated the experience of an MUN to an entirely new dimension, where the stakes were higher, the participation nearly tripled, and the learning manifold. It was not just a culmination of debating skills from across the country, but a remarkable showcase of passion, commitment, and an earnest pursuit of global understanding.
The atmosphere across ten diverse committees, ranging from DISEC, LEGAL, UNOOSA, UNEP, and the Arctic Council, to WCW, UNPF, Ad-Hoc, UNSC, and even the historic Cuban Missile Crisis, was charged with sharp arguments, relentless energy, and some of the most innovative solutions. The seamless and thoughtful organization by the HMUN India team further added to the grandeur, reflecting the prestige that the Harvard name so gracefully carries.
Among the many proud moments, the stellar performance of our Grade 12 students, Mihika Saboo and Tanav Tarlapalli, stood out. Representing Cambodia in DISEC as a team, their crisp diplomacy and strong presence earned them the Diplomatic Commendation Award, along with praise from judges for their impactful contribution. Their achievement symbolized not just individual excellence but also the collective growth and spirit of our entire delegation.
More than just a regular MUN, this conference became a transformative journey of leadership, collaboration, and global vision, an experience that will stay with each delegate long after the final gavel fell.
