Wildlife on Course: 10 Years of Golfing for Nature

On 15 November 2025,a group of ten enthusiastic students from Grades 8 and 9, accompanied by escort teacher Ms. Sowjanya Govindula, proudly represented our school at the WWF India event, “Wildlife on Course: 10 Years of Golfing for Nature” held at Hyderabad Golf Club, Golconda, Qutub Shahi Tombs.

 The event, organized under the guidance of Mr. S. M. Akbar Sharief, Senior Education Officer, WWF-India, Hyderabad Office, proved to be an engaging, enlightening, and memorable experience for all participants.

A Day Filled with Learning and Inspiration

The programme offered a unique platform for students to explore the region’s rich biodiversity and deepen their understanding of conservation practices. Through a range of interactive, hands-on activities, students learned about endemic species, ecosystems, climate change, and the critical need to protect wildlife.

The WWF team, along with the hosting staff, ensured that the event ran smoothly. Their warm hospitality, organized coordination, and approachable nature made the experience enjoyable for the students.

The WWF program was exceptionally well-organized, educational, and enjoyable. It inspired students to think deeply about conservation and the responsibility each individual holds toward safeguarding nature. Our students expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such an impactful initiative.
