The Pen Pal Project: A Resounding Success

The Pen Pal Project: A Resounding Success

The Foundational years students of The Hyderabad Public School collaborated with Oxley College, Sydney, on a Round Square Pen Pal Project, a unique initiative that brought together students from different parts of the world to exchange handwritten letters. The Pen Pal Project aimed to foster global understanding, cultural exchange, and language skills among students. Our students wrote letters to their peers at Oxley College, sharing aspects of their life, culture, and interests. We received responses from the Australian students, which were eagerly awaited by our children.

The exchange of letters was a thrilling experience for our students. They were excited to receive those beautiful handwritten letters and eagerly waited for the responses. When the letters arrived, the children’s faces lit up with joy. They proudly displayed them, poring over the photos and postcards.

The Pen Pal Project had a significant impact on our students. It:
– Broadened their understanding of different cultures and ways of life
– Developed their writing and communication skills
– Encouraged empathy and friendship across borders
– Boosted their confidence in expressing themselves

Highlights
– Students shared stories of their daily lives, festivals, and traditions
– They exchanged photos and postcards, showcasing their schools and communities
– Some students even included small gifts, like stickers and bookmarks

The Pen Pal Project was a fantastic example of Round Square collaboration. It brought together students from different countries, promoting cross-cultural understanding and exchange. We look forward to future collaborations with Oxley College and other Round Square schools. The Pen Pal Project was a resounding success, exceeding our expectations. We are grateful to Oxley College for hosting this initiative and look forward to continuing this wonderful exchange. The experience has left a lasting impact on our students, and we are proud to be part of this global community.
