International Entrepreneurship Day

On the occasion of International Entrepreneurship Day, the school had organized a session with a young and driven entrepreneur and a fellow Eagle of the 2000 batch, Mr. Akshay Joshi.
Akshay is the co-founder and COO of Ambee, a global deep-tech startup that uses AI integration to predict climate factors months in advance to facilitate better preparation of the government and various organizations beforehand.
Mr. Joshi’s talk on taking risks and wanting more from life was truly inspiring and uplifting. He urged every one of us to always search for new experiences and avenues as the world has many problems that need creative solutions. Looking back on his school days, he spoke about his life as a student in HPS Begumpet and its role in shaping his thinking and his future. He also spoke highly about some of his classmates who went on to achieve great heights in various fields, such as Swati Upadhyay, Nag Ashwin, and Rana Dagubatti, who took risks, defied norms and have set new standards in their respective fields.
Reminiscing about his past, he spoke about his time in motorsport and Formula 1 and how a profession of such high calibre did not satisfy his desire to do something more for the world.
That’s when his co-founders, including Jaideep Singh Bachher (ISC 2003), and him thought of Ambee – a large-scale solution to a real world problem. This was it. His purpose. His calling. He worked tirelessly with his co-founders to transform their vision into a practical reality.
Mr. Joshi instilled in every one of us, the hunger and ambition to never settle for less. He inspired us to work for the greater good and solve problems prevalent in the world. He placed special emphasis on how HPS Begumpet altered his mindset and the teachings he received were extremely helpful in his journey. His oration and confidence was truly commendable and had a massive impact on each and every one of us to be better, do better and make the world better.
