Grade 6 Bagless Day
On Thursday, August 21st, around 300 students of Grade 6 came together to celebrate a memorable Bagless Day. The skies, which had been gloomy for a few days, finally cleared up—and so did the moods of the students, who were eager to begin a day of joyful learning.
The day commenced with a group poster-making activity on the theme “Say No to Junk Food.” Students showcased their creativity and teamwork while spreading awareness about healthy eating habits.
This was followed by Value Education and Gratitude sessions, where students reflected on the importance of kindness, well-being, and thankfulness in everyday life.
With renewed enthusiasm, the young learners moved on to their Leadership Sessions, which encouraged them to explore and nurture their leadership qualities through interactive activities.
A screening of “The Elephant Whisperers” offered them valuable insights into the deep bond between humans and animals, leaving them with a sense of empathy and responsibility towards nature.
Later in the day, students participated in Dining Hall Etiquette training and a Best out of Waste activity. These sessions not only taught them the finer points of table manners but also emphasized the impact of recycling and upcycling on the environment.
The day concluded with students returning to their classrooms, carrying happy memories, fresh insights, and new curiosities that will inspire them until their next Bagless Day.
