Annual Academic Prize Distribution 2025
The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, hosted its Annual Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony 2025 — a grand celebration of dedication, intellect, and talent. The event began with the distribution of academic prizes for Grades 5 and 8, followed by a graceful solo performance, Whispers of the Wild, by Sahruda (9K), evoking nature’s wisdom and beauty through movement and expression.
We honoured the achievers of Grades 9, 10, and 11 and witnessed a powerful Macbeth Retelling by our IPSC dramatics team — comprised entirely of 8th and 9th graders — which earlier earned accolades at the IPSC Dramatics Fest 2025. The performance left the audience entranced, including our Chief Guest. A stunning musical duet by Advaith and Daksha brought alive Pandit Bhimsen Joshi’s Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, stirring hearts with every note. The event also saw the launch of Shaheen, our annual magazine that chronicles student voices and creativity.
Our Vice Principal then took the stage and reminded us that true success goes beyond awards. While trophies shine, it is our intellectual curiosity, consistency, and perseverance that define lasting achievement. She spoke about how HPS is known as a “factory of global CEOs”, and yet, the real goal is to become a better version of ourselves every day. In a world that’s constantly changing, she urged us to learn, unlearn, and relearn—not as a one-time lesson, but as a lifelong habit. “A genuine marathoner doesn’t run for a prize, but to challenge themselves,” she said, leaving us with quiet motivation.
Chief Guest Shri Ramesh Masthipuram, IPS, fondly recalled how he once dreamed of joining HPS in Grade 6 and how life brought him back in the khakis of the Indian Police. His address focused on the power of learning, unlearning, and relearning in a changing world — urging students to lead with values, respect, and curiosity.
