RIDS British Council Project

Students of Class 3 and 4 enthusiastically participated in an enriching cultural project in collaboration with the British Council. Conducted during the months of October and November, the project focused on exploring the vibrant cultures of India, Brazil, and Japan. Through guided research, students learned about the art, traditions, heritage, food habits, costumes, and cultural practices of these countries.

To showcase their learning, special assembly sessions were held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where students confidently presented their work through colourful charts, creative 3D models, informative presentations, interesting facts, and interactive quizzes. These sessions reflected the students’ growing confidence, teamwork, and public speaking skills.

Fridays were specially dedicated to hands-on activities, making learning more engaging and experiential. Students participated in fireless cooking, prepared eye-catching posters to decorate the school corridors, delivered presentations, created beautiful accessories to represent the food, costumes, and culture of India, Brazil, and Japan. These activities brought creativity to the forefront and allowed students to express their understanding in innovative ways.

One of the highlights of the project was the exploration of traditional food, costumes, and dance forms, which truly brought the cultures to life. The project helped students develop a deeper appreciation for global diversity while enhancing essential skills such as research, collaboration, creativity, and communication.

Overall, the RIDS British Council Project was a memorable learning journey. Class 3 and 4 deserve special appreciation for their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication in making this project a grand success.
