EXCURSION for GRADE 9 TO THE ACTIVE DISCOVERY CAMPUS
EXCURSION for GRADE 9
TO
THE ACTIVE DISCOVERY CAMPUS
The annual educational excursion is an integral part of the school calendar at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. On the 8th of January this year, we decided to take the students of Grade 9 (2025-26) to the Active Discovery Campus, Chevella, Telangana.
This Campus was carefully hand-picked as it is a hands-on Educational Institute catering to farming programs, STEM, Cottage Industries and other such programmes for school and college students, where children learn to connect themselves with that ‘soil’ which provides sustenance to each one of us.
Sauryaram Varma Indukuri won the Best Delegate trophy for his exceptional representation of France in the UNICEF Committee. Akshat Malani, representing Liberia on SDG 7The trip was extremely fruitful in connecting us with our ‘roots’, where the students learnt hands-on farming techniques like soil preparation, sowing, preparing jeevamrutham, preparing food for the domestic animals, handling domestic animals, to name a few. This excursion was planned with the intention of expressing our gratitude to Mother Nature for nurturing us with utmost love, care and no reservation. The trip seamlessly connected the classroom teachings with a practical knowledge of the world that remains our ‘oyster’, and the secrets waiting to be unravelled.
The students of class 9 returned from the excursion with essential life skills such as gratitude, companionship, team-work and with the hope that they shall build an ecosystem where the coming generations can thrive intellectually, emotionally and socially.
