Britannica Workshop
Integrating Design Thinking and Project-Based Learning through the Britannica Education App
A Training Session for Social Studies Faculty and Librarians
In an effort to strengthen innovative teaching practices and enhance classroom engagement, a special training session was conducted for the Social Studies faculty and Librarians on the effective use of the Britannica Education App. The session focused on four key pedagogical components—Design Thinking, Project-Based Learning (PBL), Marking Rubrics, and the creation of Teacher and Student Guides—all integrated seamlessly within the Britannica platform to support 21st-century learning.
The Britannica Education App training held at HPS Begumpet on 15th November 2025 successfully empowered educators to adopt modern teaching methodologies. By emphasized Britannica’s multilingual learning features, which enable students to access content in multiple languages, thereby making learning more inclusive. Teachers explored ways to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into classroom activities using Britannica’s rich collection of articles, multimedia resources, and inquiry-based learning tasks.
In addition, the app supports multidisciplinary learning by connecting concepts across subjects, helping students develop a broader and deeper understanding of various themes.
This initiative reinforces the school’s vision of preparing learners to think critically, collaborate effectively, and apply knowledge meaningfully—beyond the boundaries of traditional textbooks.
