The Annual TAISI Conference 2025
The Annual TAISI Conference 2025, titled *”CTRL + ALT + LEARN: The Human Reset in Education,”* was held in the Novotel Dona Sylvia Resort, Goa from September 17th to 20th, 2025. Attended by Cambridge Coordinator, Ms Urvashi Makhija and Ms Nasreen Khan, Academic Coordinator Cambridge, the conference focused on transforming educational practices by embracing alternative instruction and technology, particularly AI. The conference was attended by Key discussions centered on moving beyond traditional frameworks, redefining curriculum as means of scaffolding and guidance rather than a limiting ceiling, featuring leaders like *Rod Smith* (Group Managing Director, Cambridge) and *Dr. Angela Meikle* (Global Head, International Baccalaureate World Schools), among others from international accreditation bodies. The panels also explored rethinking learning spaces in primary and middle schools, with insights stressing that concrete pedagogical practices provide stability amid change. Technology’s impact was a recurring theme, with sessions dedicated to redesigning libraries for the new-age reader, the future of storytelling in a post-AI world, and the exciting prospect of foreign universities establishing campuses in India.
The focus then shifted to innovation in sports, leadership, and design. A stimulating session on *”Rebooting Sports Through Data, Design & Devices”* showcased how technology, exemplified by the Dream Sports app, can analyze and enhance athletic training, even featuring table tennis legend Sharath Kamal. Other sessions covered the importance of ** (Social and Emotional Learning)** for school leaders, and how school design profoundly influences meaning and learning ambience. The conference culminated in an animated *Management v/s Students Debate* on the perennial question of *”Screen Time Showdown: How Much Tech is Too Much Tech?,”* providing a lively, diverse perspective on balancing human and technological elements in the educational reset.
